A summer of salads

June 7, 2010

When it is hot outside, a crunchy salad usually hits the spot!  Luckily we still have lettuce growing in the garden.  Here are some of my favorite salads from these past few weeks:

Homegrown lettuce, sunflower sprouts (sunnies), strawberries, and balsamic vinegar

Kelp noodles on a bed of lettuce topped with cucumber, avocado, lime juice, olive oil, and black pepper

Lettuce, cucumber, carrots topped with Lemon Tarragon Dressing and sunnies

What is your favorite salad?

Those salads look delicious and really healthy. I love simple Caesar salad.

I like strawberries in salads the best! Maybe a cold sesame kelp noodle salad would be good.
